FrontDesk24 is an auditable AI front desk and staff property management system for independent hotels, boutique inns, and small groups. It runs as a full PMS or on top of the one a hotel already has. It was founded in 2025.

Rick Hoopes
Rick Hoopes has worked in hotel technology for nineteen years. He spent thirteen of them at Marriott supporting its property management system across more than 3,500 hotels. While there, he led the knowledge program behind 200+ self-help articles used by over 100,000 people. He now leads escalations on a major hotel brand’s PMS support desk and installs the card readers, ID scanners, and phone systems at new properties.
FrontDesk24 grew out of that work. Rick sets the product direction, reviews every change, and works with customers directly.

How it is built
Engineering is done by Rick working with AI coding assistants, including Claude and Grok. They write and test code under his review. They are tools, not staff, and every production change is approved and deployed by him.
The same discipline goes into the product. Rates, balances, and availability come from the PMS itself, never from the AI. Policy and procedure answers come from your property’s own knowledge base, and if the system can’t point to a source, it doesn’t answer. High-risk actions wait for staff approval, the kiosk’s AI decisions are kept in a hash-chained audit trail, and staff can take over a guest’s chat or text conversation at any point.
